The morning of June 14th, we took a train (slow and initially crowded) to Tortosa. We had to walk to the castle (where we were staying for the night). Tortosa does not seem like they are used to tourist. We arrived around noon and the castle was on top of a hill. We were using our phone but there was construction so we couldn’t find a road to get us up there. We had our packs on our backs and it was hot. We eventually made our way there. We got checked in and were hungry, so we dropped our bags and headed back out. Tortosa is a small town and take advantage of the siesta. When we got back down the hill, there were no restaurants open. The stores were all closed and we didn’t know what to do. We happened to come across a local restaurant with delicious (greasy) food. We then decided to head back up to the castle to swim and hopefully venture out again later for dinner. We also explored the grounds a bit, which is where this picture is taken from.
