We went to see the author of the Lunch Lady book series speak. He was wonderful! He told us about how he wrote a book & sent it to a publisher & they sent it back with tons of corrections & said, “no!”. He sent it to many, many other publishing companies & they all said, “no!”. So he created a new series, which did great! They also had these police officers come in & re-enact a scene from one of his books. They were great! He drew on the side while they played out the scene. It was super cool!
