We found a campsite at Center Lake in Custer State Park. Once we got our tent set up (so it could dry from the night before), we headed out for an adventure. We had heard that Custer State Park has a buffalo herd of 95+ buffalos. We wanted to find them! Towards the tail-end of our adventure, we did. We saw about 4 off in the distance & we were thrilled. We pulled over to check them out. Several people drove right past them & we laughed thinking they had just missed these buffalo. Little did we know, just up around the corner was this! They were amazing. They were everywhere, including walking along the side of our car. We couldn’t believe it!
