After a long drive from Lake Okoboji, we finally made it to the Badlands. They were beautiful! We found a campsite & got our tent set up, then headed for the trails. Our first hike, Notch Trail. The first sign we saw said, “Watch out for Rattle Snakes”. We decided to proceed. After walking along a dry creek bed for awhile, we had to climb up this ladder. At the top, the trail follows along the edge of this cliff. We got a little past where Dad is & decided to turn around. The rock was loose & we were nervous.
