Our final hike in the Badlands was Cliff Shelf. We were concerned it was going to be a lot like Notch Trail given it’s name, but it was a nice path in the woods & then stairs leading up to the shelf. It started to rain & we ran back to the car. It rained & rained & we had lighting & thunder. It was a little scary to go into the tent, so we stayed in the car until it died down a little bit. It lasted for a couple hours. Finally, we were tired enough, we decided to brave the storm. We survived!
