We’re on our way down from our last hike. I wanted to hike forever. I really enjoy it! We had a great time camping & mom & dad think we’ll do it a whole bunch next year! I can’t wait!

We saw a few more elk at the top of the road. We were above the trees!

The next morning we packed up camp & drove through the park to look for more animals. We saw 2 young male elk butting heads. We also stopped here, which is called rainbow curve. It was 40 degrees. Brrrr….!

This is the inside of our tent. Dad slept furthest in, then Wyatt, Mom, & me. I slept in my pack n play. I started in mom’s sleeping bag with her, but she couldn’t sleep because I’m squirmy.

It’s getting dark & we stayed up late! We were a little worried about the wind in our tent, but otherwise, we slept really well, all things considered. We loved our headlamps. Ahhh… the tent is up, dinner is on the stove, sleeping bags are laid out, & we’re enjoying some quiet time by the fire.

Look what we stumbled upon! When we were driving around, we saw a bunch of cars piled up on the side of the road again. We got out to see what was there. It was a huge herd of elk. This big bull was our favorite.
