I’m checking out the river below from the covered bridge.

I am checking out a statue of a really big skier just before the covered bridge in Vail Village.

We took the Simon-Krikelas family to Vail to show them around. Our first stop… Starbucks.

Finally I have 2 skis. Now just a short magic carpet ride to the top of the hill and I am off and skiing. Who knew that after just 45 minutes we would already be working on the downhill part of this lesson.

Here I am with one ski on just practicing getting around. This was a little hard for me but I tried my hardest. I saw Dad and I told him that this was exhausting. Who knew that skiing was going to be work?

My first trip up the magic carpet! This is great. If you notice, I do not have my skis on yet. This was just a practice trip. The next time I go I am going to have my skis on and everything.

Here I am heading out to the hill for my first lesson. Mom and Dad were glad they bought me this bright helmet. It made it really easy for them to find me on the hill.

Mom, Dad and Caden had some time to kill before the lesson started so they decided to get warm and get some liquid energy. Right after we left we bumped into the The Beaver Creek Cookie Lady. That was a real treat.
