We found this log/stick along the way & thought it was the perfect shape for a gun.

And of course we had to pick up as many things as possible along the way.

We then walked along the creek for awhile. Any time we came to a road crossing, we stood hoping a car would spray us as it drove past. 

We went to Ledges State Park, which is 5 minutes away from Boone. We often go for a hike out there, but this time we took our bikes & rode through the water. It was pretty fun. I’m helping Isaac get his helmet on. Wyatt decided to stay home & hang with Papa & Grandma. 

We went to the petting zoo on the way out. We got to pet this kangaroo, which was pretty cool. One of the animals took my cup right out of my hands. 

Wyatt opted for a cup of freshly cut watermelon, while I rode the slide. It was awesome!

We went to the Iowa State Fair with Papa & Grandma on Saturday. Mom hadn’t been since she was in high school & wanted to check it out. It was a very busy place! Fortunately, we went pretty early & it was still quiet. By the time we left, we could barely walk together (&…

Clara & I were playing a game & Marley was having fun floating on the noodle.

Clara & I swam out to the buoy. We could touch almost all the way & had to swim the rest of the way. After that, Mom requested we only swim out as far as we can touch. We then searched for rocks underwater while Mom & Wyatt built the Roman Coliseum. 

We went to Don Williams, a lake about 15 miles from Boone. We met our cousins there & had fun playing in the sand & swimming int he lake.
