Mom, Caden & I went to explore the backcountry. We found a cave & a big sand dune. We decided to continue on & found other fun rocks to climb. We also ran into this cool looking deer.

After our long hike, we headed back to camp for some lunch & play.

Some parts of the trail were too steep, we had to scoot down on our tushes.  These bottom two parts were another one of the scariest moments of the hike. There was a tiny ledge that we had to shuffle across while leaning into the rock above. It was probably only a 15-20 foot drop,…

We stopped for a snack once everyone got across the arch. We lost a couple of hikers. L-R Katie, Kaya, Wyatt J., Elias, Max, Mateo, Jess, me, Luke, & Caden. Gabe was still with us, but in the pack on his dad’s back.
