• That night we went to a haunted house at DSST. It was awesomely scary! Mom walked through with the three of us & Dad walked through with Ben, Abby & Abby’s friend, Marlo. We waited in line for a long time & the haunted house was really short, but it was long enough for us.…

  • Another typical Saturday, running around to different soccer games. They overlapped again. We also went the Cherry Arts Festival at Stanley, which was super fun. I made this candy skull & they put it on the side of the building. I don’t know how long it will stay there.

  • I started playing basketball with my old soccer coach. Some of the kids from my first soccer team are on the basketball team, too. I’m getting better. I was very nervous the first couple of games, but played really well yesterday. I had a couple of nice assists & I even attempted to shoot a…

  • Mr. Higgins

  • Why not? We headed back to the SkyCoaster only to find out that Caden is too small to fit in the harness. We’ll have to try again next year? We were ready to begin our final drive home, so we headed across the bridge towards our car. It was a pretty amazing trip! We had…

  • We went to check out the SkyCoaster, which Caden & Mom were prepared to do. It’s a giant swing that swings out above the canon. It was closed for another half hour. We decided to explore. There was a fun playground that we enjoyed running around on.

  • We’re not making goofy faces for the camera!! We are on the tram heading across.

  • We stopped in Salida for lunch & then took a beautiful two lane highway to the Royal Gorge. It was a perfect time to travel because all of the parks were quiet. We took the tram across the gorge & here are some pictures of the view. We were 1200 feet up!

  • We left Mesa Verde & headed for Durango where we spent the night. We ate a delicious dinner at Chimayo & stayed at the Double Tree. Tuesday morning we woke up & hit the road again not sure where we were headed. We passed this gorgeous waterfall along the way.

  • There was a Park Ranger on the other side of the sign & she offered to take a photo of us. Caden is still in his pajamas, but we thought it was a pretty nice picture. This is a rare occasion.
