• We had to balance a tennis ball on a spoon & walk down & back without dropping it.

  • We had a few rounds of tug-o’-war. We won, which is why I’m jumping up & down cheering.

  • Our field day was in the afternoon. We started at the water station, which was perfect. It was pretty warm, so it cooled us off for the rest of the day.

  • We had a sack race, which I was great at!

  • My teacher, Ms. Page, is trying to get me to dance with here. I just crossed my arms & stood there. It wasn’t happening. I did, however, run off to show her my coffee grinders. And I did a little grapevine all around the playground. One of our stations was a dance party.

  • My friend Clayton & I did the three-legged race together. We did okay, but fell a few times. Once we got completely tangled up with each other.

  • We had these hurdles to jump over. We also did it a second time where we had to run under one & jump over the next.

  • We had field day with about 10 stations. We had to crawl backwards while holding a stick to pass to our teammate on the other side. We also had to run backwards which tripped quite a few of us up!

  • Second grade was in charge of harvesting the lettuce this year. We had a school-wide picnic that evening & all of the lettuce came from our school garden. I was really nervous before I went to school because I had never harvested lettuce before. Turns out it wasn’t hard at all!

  • I was not excited about getting my picture taken. Wyatt shaved his on the sides as soon as we got home. He didn’t want to go all over short.
