  • We headed for Old Faithful, which was amazing! We also had dinner at the Old Faithful Grill, walked up to the observation tower & hiked around to see some other geysers.

  • This was at Porcelain Basin. On the other side of this was the Back Basin, which is where the 23 year old fell into one of the hot springs. 

  • We stopped at Upper & Lower Falls & did a nice hilly hike along the rim. Papa NJ would not have been happy!

  • We stopped at Mud Volcano. This bison was just hanging out near the hot springs. He was pretty cool. Another very nice person offered to take a photo of the four of us.

  • We drove along Yellowstone Lake for some time. There was a beach that went across with water on both sides, so we got out of the car & checked it out. The water was freezing!!

  • Day 2: We headed up to Yellowstone after breakfast & came across a couple of elk on the side of the road. 

  • We were so close to Old Faithful, we decided to go check it out hoping we would possibly see it erupt. We missed it by fifteen minutes! We headed back to the cabin & crashed for the night.
