  • It was colder than it looked out, so standing around while the kids went sledding did not last long. 

  • The following weekend, Papa and Grandma NJ came out to visit. It was a pretty mellow weekend and we spent a lot of time at home. We did go see Lauren’s performance of Alice in Wonderland on Friday night and we ventured out for a walk and got side-tracked by the sledding hill.

  • There was a long line for the ferry back to the hotel, so Mom, Caden and I decided to walk back. Dad and Lau waited for the ferry and we beat them! Overall, it was a great weekend.

  • We kept trying to go to Poseidon, but something was wrong with it and it wasn’t working. This was our third attempt to view it and we still never saw it this trip. 

  • Lau and I loved this ride, The Mummy. I wanted Mom and Dad to get this for me, but they said no. 

  • We ran in to this little guy at our hotel. We came back to the hotel mid-day for a little down time. We went swimming in the pool and then cleaned up to head back out again. 

  • We happened to be at Universal during a Christian rock concert weekend. It made it over all busier, but they also kept the place open until 1am. For an additional $25/ticket we could add the evening on, so we did. By 10pm we had the place to ourselves. Everyone else was listening to music. It…

  • At some point I got this knot in my hair. There was talk of possibly having to cut it out, but Mom managed to get it out. (sorry to all the rat tail haters!)

  • We have to have an extra bed, which makes standard hotel rooms a little challenging. We were able to find this, however, and thought it was both hilarious and fantastic!

  • The following weekend, we flew to Orlando and stayed at the Portofino  Bay Hotel at Universal Studios. Lau is a huge Harry Potter fan, so we decided to take her here.
