The next day we went to the Catedral de Barcelona. It’s in the old Roman part of Barcelona, which was gorgeous. We also went to the roof, which had an elevator (the one and only that we came across). The views were amazing from the top of the roof.

Columbus Monument Taking a break on a wall along the way. We then walked over to La Rambla and walked back to our apartment while checking out the the east side of the street where they had tons of food vendors.

On the way back down, we did find the funicular and decided to take it. It was the same price as taking the subway.

We explored most of the castle, then took a break and ate lunch up there. They had a bunch of food trucks and we managed to find something vegetarian (chips, cheese dip and guac).

Top picture shows the entrance into the castle and the bottom one is a view from the top. We enjoyed looking at all the yachts in the harbor from up there. They were amazing.

We did find a gondola though. The funicular ends at the gondola. We decided to take the gondola the rest of the way to the top.

We headed towards Castell de Montjuic the next day. Our guide the day before told us about a funicular we could take to the top of the castle but we couldn’t find it. We ended up walking up a bunch of hills and stairs.

We walked back to our apartment after the beach and came across the old Roman city, which we absolutely loved! We had just eaten our daily dose of gelato here. We came across this square, but we can’t remember what it was.

After lunch, we walked along the beach. It was really quiet, which we didn’t realize until we ventured back there a few days later.

Lunch! We were all on a mission to be adventurous with our eating (except Caden). We ordered the seafood medley paella. It came like this. We asked the waiter how to approach it and it was actually pretty good. We tried to sit outside for most of our meals. This was a restaurant on the…
