There were enormous bugs (not sure what they are) flying around the Botanic Gardens. We visited the Royal Botanic Gardens. They were quiet and beautiful. It was hot, though!

Our last full day in Madrid, we started out at a place called Crepes. We had delicious chocolate and strawberry crepes. We then walked towards Retiro Park. 

This is the only picture we were allowed to take inside the Royal Palace. You can see Wyatt and I on the steps to the left about half way up and Dad is walking up to us. 

These are the gardens of the Royal Palace. We sat at this plaza, which happened to be the stops of a church for awhile. Caden and I really wanted to go in, but Mom and Dad didn’t want to wait in the long line. Finally, mom decided to go stand in line and it moved…

We ventured out on a tour bus in Madrid. This was possibly the worst choice we made the entire trip. We first went to one of the stops and there were a ton of people there, so we moved up to the next stop, only to find that we were at the wrong spot and…

We didn’t plan our meal very well and we were super hungry and needed food! We found a pizza place that only had seating inside. We very rarely ate our meals inside. We usually tried to find a plaza or somewhere with a patio. This ended up working out just fine, however.

The location was perfect, though. This was the view from our window. It had a window that went out on to a very steep roof with a platform about 1.5 feet square, with no railing. It was a little odd. Mom had her tea up there each morning though. It was super peaceful. 

This is Plaza Mayor. It was half a block away from our apartment. Our apartment in Madrid was very interesting. It ended up working just fine, but the setup was bizarre. It was on the top and 8th floor. It had very slanted ceilings, to the point where we had to bend over to use…

We walked around a bunch on our last day in Seville and checked out a few more things. We also did (a very boring) boat ride up and down the river. It was nice to sit down for a few minutes, however. We visited the Torre del Oro and then enjoyed dinner near our apartment…

And of course we had to revisit the Plaza de Americanos one more time.
