We came across this herd of elk. These were the only elk we saw, which is atypical for a trip of ours to RMNP.

Our family decided to take the long way home and go through the park, hike a little, enjoy the views and look for wildlife. 

On Sunday morning, we woke up, tore down camp and played a little D ‘n’ D. 

Something was happening with Caden in this picture and everyone was laughing. Mom and Dad aren’t sure what, but it was fun to watch. 

After our hike, we headed back to camp for dinner and s’mores. We had spaghetti and meat sauce, garlic bread and salad. We made s’mores with fudge stripes, which were a lot easier and delicious!

Someone had told us at Fern Lake Falls that there was a moose at Cub Lake, which was our inspiration to hike there. The view of the lake from above was gorgeous, but we don’t seem to have a picture of it. When we got down there, we couldn’t see a moose and then all…

We went camping at Moraine Campground in Rocky Mountain National Park (our favorite place to camp). We went for a 7 mile hike up to Cub Lake via Fern Falls. It was an amazing day. We went with the Johnsons and the Wus. We of course had to climb every rock we encountered.

I went out for baseball with some friends this year. We happened to be in town for a whole two weeks of the season. We made two games. I really enjoyed it, though, and was pretty good considering I had never played before.
