  • The morning of June 14th, we took a train (slow and initially crowded) to Tortosa. We had to walk to the castle (where we were staying for the night). Tortosa does not seem like they are used to tourist. We arrived around noon and the castle was on top of a hill. We were using…

  • Once we got back to Barcelona, we noticed there was a Joan Miro park near by so we walked by it before heading back to our apartment. This was about all there was to it.

  • We propped the phone on a rock to get this picture. There were bridges everywhere and it was quiet. We had a delicious lunch outside on one of the patios and continued exploring some areas that were off the beaten path. It was a super fun day.

  • One of the coolest parts of the city was this old wall that you could walk along the top for half a mile.

  • There were a ton of steps to get up to the cathedral. We visited the Girona Cathedral and toured the inside.

  • We loved the streets. It was a little hilly. It is a small town, but they had tons of restaurants with outdoor seating and lots of museums.

  • We took a high speed train to Girona for a day trip. We loved this little town. It was one of our favorite places we visited. We stopped for a picture on the bridge before venturing in to town. There were huge fish in the river.

  • We had dinner at a Jewish hamburger place. They had a delicious veggie burger for me (Caden).

  • The drive up to Montserrat was a little nauseating for those of us who get motion sick. Fortunately, we were able to take this tram down where we met our driver. It was a really wonderful place to visit.

  • We happened to be at the basilica when the boys choir was singing. They were really good, but it was so crowded we could not see anything. We listened for a few minutes and then headed out.
