Wyatt became friends with our guide and they were speaking Spanish and talking about life in Panama as well as school in Colorado. The day before, we had taken a kayak over to the island across from our hotel and pulled up to a private beach (they seem to be everywhere). We stayed and explored and swam a bit before deciding to head back. It had gotten windy and we were concerned about our return kayak. We made it. It was a bit rough. Mom and I (Caden) decided to stay out. We stayed close to shore and thought we saw another beach. It wasn’t. It was just really shallow. We then ventured to the other side of the dock and saw a bunch of beautiful fish and several stingrays. We all also took a water taxi to an island and hiked about a mile to a private beach. There were a couple other families there. It was a beautiful beach and we would have happily stayed for awhile, but it was starting to get dark.
