The island had wild horses everywhere. They don’t do well because the grass is super salty and they struggle to find food and water. Some looked better than others. It was a very rainy day and we were happy to be inside the van. We also saw where John Kennedy got married. It was a little church towards the north end of the island. There was a 77 year old woman who lives on the island, completely off the land. She was impressive and still cuts wood. We stopped and spoke with her for a little while.
