We went to the beach to play in the sand for awhile before heading out for our first surf lesson. Caden got up pretty early on in the lesson & caught almost every wave. I, however, had a bit of a harder time. I did not give up & I kept going out after every fall. I spent the entire two hours out in the water & finally, with about fifteen minutes left of the lesson, I did it!! I got up! It was awesome. The instructor, Jarod, had me go back out a few more times to just get the hang of it. I was so proud of myself. I even had a random guy who had been watching the lesson come down & tell me I did a great job & “way to stick with it”. Everyone was so impressed with my perseverance.
