We also enjoyed a bonfire with s’mores at Taco Tuesday at La Taqueria.

We went in to a small town just outside where were staying to have dinner at Yolanda’s. There were at least two other families from Colorado there, so we all got together for dinner. The woman who own’s the restaurant, Yolanda came around to give each of us a hug and kiss before leaving. We also had to go next door if we wanted an alcoholic beverage. And the kids each helped themselves to a soda from a cooler behind the counter. She has two monkeys in her backyard and there are stray dogs everywhere! Dogs are very different to the people of Nicaragua than here in the U.S. They don’t belong to anyone. There was also a pig running around the backyard.

We are looking up at the monkeys!
