Mom says this was her favorite part of the trip, getting gas. We had to return the rental cars and we were heading out of the ranch once again for dinner. We asked our surf instructor, who is an ex-pat, where to get it. The closest gas station is 45 minutes away. He said you’ll see houses along the way with signs that say “se vende gasolina”. He told us to stop there. We found one along the way and negotiated the price. We told him we needed roughly 6 gallons (otherwise the resort charges $8/gallon). He literally went and grabbed 6 separate gallon sized jugs and brought over to the car to fill the tank with gas, including a 2-liter coke bottle. I  (Caden) also had to use the bathroom, so mom asked in spanish if he had one we could use. He said yes and told us where to find it. It was out behind his house. It was the shape of an outhouse and the toile was made of cement and the door was a curtain. The whole family was also out back sitting in chairs enjoying the weather.
